Enough time has happened to humanity to forget their own history. By that time, egoism and corruption were so common that people saw it as normal.
It made completely sense, you cannot have good if wrong does not exist, beautyness will not exist if eyesore wasn't there. Dichotomies ruled the reality entirely deep inside.
It actually got to work very well, everybody experienced different kinds of emotions throughout their lifetimes, joyful periods of time only interrupted by the most unpleasant situations.
That was the price to pay.
