Probably the biggest penance for mankind was death, the idea of not existing anymore was the source of the scariest thoughts in people’s minds. For years they found peace on believing there was life after death. The truth is that it’s just ceasing to exist. Anyways that’s not the painful part, death can be seen as the healing for suffering, all fears and disgrace will disappear along with your body and mind.
The real pain is for the people that stay there, the one that has to deal with losing their loved ones.
